There is a place I journey to, when needing to unwind.
I travel there on glistening tides, if only in my mind.
It is a place of solitude, in gardens lush and green.
An ancient creature from times of old, silently guards the scene.
There I can collect my thoughts, as if surrounded by a wall.
With no one there to see my tears, if like rapids they should fall.
I set my eyes upon the blooms, all flaming gold and red,
And quietly wait as the sun goes down, bringing peace on golden threads.
Then up I climb from beneath the depths, with troubles not so wide.
Knowing I've a place to hide, beyond the glistening tides.

i really liked dis blog... de way u've described a solitary place to take off to ..... escaping off from reality for moments' a part o' everybodys lives... that negativism has somehow been shown in a positive light thru ur poem with ur descriptions... ummm... dats how i see it..
hmm.. when I was kid n wanted a secluded place , I would pull the blanket over myself.. that cut me off from the whole world.. too bad it dosen't work anymore!!
